Alpenblumenweg Betelberg: Discover the Alpine Flora

The Alpenblumenweg at Betelberg above Lenk captivates with an extraordinary variety: Along the 1.6-kilometer long circular hiking trail, over 300 different species of alpine flowers, grasses, and lichens thrive. Around 90 informational panels convey knowledge about the alpine flora and make the hike a special nature experience.

The original Alpenblumenweg starts at around 2,000 m a.s.l. directly at the cable car station Leiterli. From here, the cozy circular path leads through colorful alpine flower meadows, where the typical Simmental cows graze in summer.

Along the way, it is worth observing the surroundings attentively. Butterflies flutter over the meadows, dragonflies buzz past small ponds, and with a bit of luck, the song of a lark can be heard. Numerous marmots also live around the Alpenblumenweg and can often be seen during the day in front of their burrows.

Take your time to consciously discover nature at Betelberg, enjoy the view, and let the diverse alpine world around Leiterli have an effect on you.
