HEKU Velomuseum Boltigen
Heku Velomuseum Boltigen: A Journey Through the History of the Bicycle
Behind an inconspicuous door in Boltigen, there is a small, special bicycle museum. The versatile collection impressively shows how the bicycle has developed over time and allows visitors to immerse themselves in past eras.
The name Heku stands for Heinz Kunz, the famous bicycle legend from Boltigen. With great passion, he collected an extraordinary collection centered around the bicycle over many years. Today, the museum is continued with just as much dedication and remains available to the public.
Among other things, there is a balance bike, a penny-farthing, historical military, postal, and bakery bicycles, as well as various children's bikes to discover. The exhibition is complemented by over 200 brand signs, numerous bicycle bells, and many other exciting pieces from the history of the two-wheeler.
The Heku Velomuseum in Boltigen is suitable for families, groups, and bicycle enthusiasts alike. A visit to the museum can be especially nicely combined with a bicycle tour through the Simmental.
