Tree Path Boltigwald: Discover Mighty White Firs

In Boltigwald stand some of the oldest and most impressive white firs in the Bernese Oberland. Thanks to tree sponsorships, ten of these mighty trees have been protected long-term and preserved from commercial use. The historically significant white firs are estimated to be around 250 to 300 years old.

The tree path in Boltigwald highlights the special natural values of the forest and raises awareness for the preservation of ecologically valuable trees. At the same time, it shows the importance of natural wood as a crucial habitat and food source for numerous animals, plants, fungi, and insects.

From the mountain path Regenmoos towards Niderhore, you can reach the impressive white firs after about 30 minutes. A worthwhile nature experience for all those who want to consciously discover the forest and learn more about its ecological significance.
