Folk Music Evening: Schäbyschigg – Swiss Chamber Music Festival 2025

Is a small garden more shabby than chic? And is less more? The band Schäbyschigg explores both small and big questions of life in their songs and always keeps a smile on their lips, even when dealing with serious topics. With their current program and the new album "Sälbschtversorger," they humorously engage with our world and today’s times. Once the group starts with their rich instrumentation from tuba to accordion and ukulele to trumpets, no one can stay still, no head remains un-nodded, and no hands can resist the urge to clap along to the rhythm. The five musicians are at home between Säntis and Pilatus and describe their music as a mix of Kasi Geisser, Bob Dylan, and Tom Waits – in other words: Who needs boxes?
