SRF Donnschtig-Jass 2026

30.07.2026 , Thursday

The Simmental communities of Lenk and St. Stephan are pleased to be the host of the popular SRF live show "Donnschtig-Jass" on Thursday, July 30, 2026. The show is conducted in cooperation with SRF and brings the traditional Jass format as well as the region to a wide audience all over Switzerland. The exact location within the destination will be determined in advance by a Jass qualifying game a week earlier. Two qualifying tournaments are planned, where local Jass players can qualify for the big live appearance. This not only puts the fun of the game in focus, but also actively involves the local population.

At the beginning of February, the organizing committee kickoff meeting for the event took place, with the chairman being René Müller, the president of the municipality of Lenk. He emphasizes the significance of the event for the region: "Hosting the 'Donnschtig-Jass' is a great opportunity for us to showcase our destination together with St. Stephan at its best. The format combines Swiss tradition, entertainment, and community and brings nationwide exposure that is of immeasurable value to our region," says René Müller with pleasure. A key component of the show is a local portrait that highlights the scenic, cultural, and touristic special features of Lenk-Simmental. The live show is complemented by well-known faces from the Swiss show business, providing additional entertainment and national attention. The "Donnschtig-Jass" can only be realized thanks to the great volunteer commitment and the numerous volunteers from our communities.

Further information on the program, location, and tournaments will be communicated at a later date.
