SRF Donnschtig-Jass 2026
30.07.2026 , Thursday
The Simmental communities of Lenk and St. Stephan are pleased to host the popular SRF live show "Donnschtig-Jass" on Thursday, July 30, 2026. The show is conducted in collaboration with SRF and brings the traditional Jass format as well as the region closer to a wide audience across Switzerland. The exact location within the destination will be determined in advance through a Jass elimination game one week prior. Two elimination tournaments are planned, allowing local Jass players to qualify for the big live appearance. This not only puts the fun of the game in the spotlight but also ensures the active involvement of the local population.
In early February, the kick-off meeting for the event took place, with OK President being René Müller, the mayor of Lenk. He emphasizes the significance of the event for the region: “The hosting of the "Donnschtig-Jass" is a great opportunity for us to showcase our destination together with St. Stephan in the best possible light. The format combines Swiss tradition, entertainment, and community and brings nationwide broadcasting, which is invaluable for our region,” says René Müller. A fixed part of the show is a local portrait that highlights the scenic, cultural, and tourist attractions of Lenk-Simmental. The live show will also be complemented by well-known faces from the Swiss show business, who will provide additional entertainment and national attention. The "Donnschtig-Jass" can only be realized thanks to the great volunteer engagement and numerous volunteers from our communities.
Further information regarding the program, location, and tournaments will be communicated at a later date.
