Share the trail - respect each other

In the Gstaad holiday region, hikers, mountain bikers and other users largely use the same paths. Tolerance and consideration for each other is therefore important. Mountain bikers slow down to walking pace when overtaking and stop when crossing narrow paths to allow hikers to pass. Hikers accept mountain bikers as equal path users and give way where possible and sensible when they meet. All trail users adhere to the Trail Knigge.

Mobility

Thanks to the mountain railways, hiking taxis, private bus companies and public transport, the hiking trail network is well connected. Long hikes can also be shortened if necessary.

With the Gstaad Card, public transport is free from the first overnight stay!
