This ski tour starts at Iffigenalp. The route climbs gently to Groppi. The Iffigtal valley, with the Hohberg on the right and the steep flanks of the Mittaghorn on the left, is spectacular at any time of year. From Groppi it gets steeper until you reach the frozen Iffigsee. From the lake it is a good 300m to the Iffighorn, where a breathtaking panorama awaits. To the south, the Schnidehorn and Wildhorn, to the north the Betelberg and the Spillgerten. What is the best part of every ski tour? The well-deserved descent, of course! After the Profiant has been eaten and the summit wine drunk, enjoy the descent over the long ridge of the Hohberg before turning left towards Pöris. Now the terrain becomes increasingly wooded. The descent ends after approx. 1100m at the former Alpenrösli restaurant.

  • As with any ski tour, you need an avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel and crampons.

  • If there is little snow in the lower areas, you can only ski down to Hubelmatte.
