The hike starts at Lenk railroad station and first leads through the village of Lenk into the Seefluhwald forest. At Blatti, after the ascent through the forest, the view of the Metsch ski area and the Wildstrubel is breathtaking. Continue along the road through the side valley of Pöschenried to Hubelmatte. Hubelmatte is not far from the imposing Iffig Falls, which is often icy in winter.

  • Approach

Via the main road through the Simmental to Lenk

  • To Lenk by train. (In winter there is no official bus service back to Lenk).

  • Various parking spaces in the village of Lenk

  • The entire route follows an asphalt road, which is cleared in winter.

  • As with any winter hike, good winter shoes and warm clothing are an advantage.

  • The road through the Seefluhwald forest is very shady, so it can be slippery depending on the road conditions.
