The start is at Lenk railroad station, from where the route heads north along the valley floor to Schadauli. The Schadauli is the turning point of the route, which climbs briefly to the Reka center before returning to the village of Lenk on a mostly flat route. On the way back towards Lenk, the view of the Lenk mountains is magnificent.

  • Approach

Main road to Lenk through the Simmental

  • Start directly on foot from the village of Lenk

  • Various parking spaces in the village of Lenk

  • You start on an asphalt road, but after a short distance the route branches off to the left of the road. The route continues over the unguarded level crossing to the Boden train stop. Here a path leads left across fields and woods to Schadauli. The way back on this route is asphalted, but you can expect little traffic.

  • Good footwear and warm clothing are always an advantage on a winter hike.
