From Meieberg it goes upwards to Niederhore. On the ascent, it is worth occasionally looking around. At the top of the Niderhore, you enjoy a panoramic view par excellence and are like on a cliff, at the edge of the rugged and imposing rock face. On the circular route, the path also passes below the rock face, which is at least as impressive as standing above. The path is varied and interesting to hike. The downhill section has some stony steps.

  • Approach

    To Zweisimmen, from Zweisimmen via Grubenwald to Meieberg. The road is very narrow and suitable only for confident drivers. There are only a few passing places. On the way, there is a machine to pay road/parking fees.

  • By bus or train to Zweisimmen station.

    Then by hiking taxi to Meienberg. The hiking taxi only runs in season (June - October) and irregularly. Timetable information and registration at the Zweisimmen Tourist Info Point (+41 33 722 11 33).

  • Limited parking spaces at Meieberg. Therefore, it is better to arrive by hiking taxi.
