From Meieberg, the trail climbs up to Niederhore. As you ascend, it's worth letting your gaze wander all around from time to time. At the top of the Niderhore, you can enjoy a panoramic view par excellence and feel like you are on a cliff, on the edge of the rugged and imposing rock face. On the circular hike, the path also leads along the rock face below, which is at least as impressive as standing at the top. The path is varied and interesting to hike. The downhill section has some rocky steps.

  • Approach

    To Zweisimmen, from Zweisimmen via Grubenwald to Meieberg. The road is very narrow and only suitable for safe drivers. There are only a few exit points for crossing. On the way there is a machine for paying the road/parking fee.

  • By bus or train to Zweisimmen station.

    Then take the hiking cab to Meienberg. The hiking cab only runs during the season (June - October) and at irregular intervals. Timetable information and registration at the Zweisimmen Tourist Info Point (+41 33 722 11 33).

  • Limited parking spaces at the Meieberg. It is therefore better to arrive by hiking cab.
