The tour starts at the Wildstrubelhütte SAC and climbs briefly to the Wisshorelücke. From there, the route leads over the Plaine Morte glacier towards the Wildstrubel. The view over the flat glacier, which runs along the border between the cantons of Bern and Valais, is magnificent. From the Plaine Morte, it's a good 500-metre ascent to Lenk's local mountain, the Wildstrubel. In fine weather and with good visibility, the 360° panorama extends from the Jura to the Wildhorn, the Mont Blanc massif, the Valais 4000-metre peaks and the highest peaks in Bern.

Classification according to the SAC difficulty scale for ski tours: ZS
