The ride from Zweisimmen to Grubenwald is the perfect way to warm up before the long climb of the tour begins. The road winds steadily up the mountain to the Gestelen Pass (Meieberg) at 1,852 m above sea level. The views of Zweisimmen and the surrounding mountains become ever more impressive. Once you reach the top of the pass, the road first descends to Untergestelen. The rugged, bumpy landscape looks like something from another world. When it goes downhill, it also goes uphill again. It is about 200 meters up to the destination of the tour, the Seebergsee. This mountain lake is a real natural gem and always worth a photo!

Return to Zweisimmen along the same route. At the end of the tour, the alternative route past the castle ruins of Manneberg to Mannried is worthwhile.

This tour is all on asphalt or gravel roads (no single trails).
