The Engstligen Loop is a varied but strenuous route around Adelboden. A magnificent and rewarding panorama accompanies us along almost the entire route. The altitude meters accumulate in constant ups and downs. Although concentration wanes, the difficulty of the single trails does not decrease. Nevertheless, you always have the option to abandon the route and return to the starting point.

  • Approach

    Motorway A6 Bern-Spiez, main road towards Frutigen-Adelboden to the parking lot Fuhrenweidli (valley station Sillerenbahn).

    At the roundabout at the entrance to Adelboden take the third exit, follow the road for about 200 m, then leave the road and go straight ahead directly to the parking lot, turning left towards the valley station Sillerenbühl.

  • By train to Frutigen and from there by bus to the stop Adelboden Mineralquelle, which is near the valley station Sillerenbühl.

  • Parking lot Fuhrenweidli (valley station Sillerenbahn), CHF 5.- per day.

  • Adelboden - Ussere Schwand - Tschentenegga - Schärmtanne - Sillerenbühl - Hahnenmoos Pass - Lurnig - Troneggrat - Bode - Eggetli - Ahorni - Under Elsige - Elsigbach - Cholereschlucht - Adelboden

  • Depending on riding skills, three pushing sections totaling about 20 minutes.
