Adelboden's mystical Engstligenalp can be explored on a leisurely stroll along the 5.5-kilometre circular trail, which is suitable for wheelchairs and baby carriages.

With its wide mountain meadows, cascading waterfalls, breathtaking mountain panorama and long “Älplertradition”, Engstligenalp was included in the Federal Inventory of Cultural Landscapes of National Importance in 1996.

The high plateau at 2000 m above sea level is accessible by cable car and serves as the starting point for numerous hiking and mountain tours. The flat, obstacle-free circular hiking trail starts right next to the mountain station. It leads across the flat high plateau, past babbling mountain streams, grazing cows and cozy alpine huts back to the starting point.
