From the railway station Gstaad you walk up to the Oberbort. There you follow the upper trail to Turbach. As an alternative you may take the bus from Gstaad train station to Turbach village or Rotengraben. From there a trail leads in a steady ascent to Steineberg, Marchli and all the way up to Trüttlisberg. This is where the Turbach valley ends and Lauenen valley starts. The downhill hike to Lauenen leads you through colourful Alpine meadows. The steep descent along the eastern slope of the Lauenen valley down to Lauenen offers an unforgettable view. With the bus back to Gstaad.

    The Destination Gstaad is located in the south-west of Switzerland right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The Destination is easily accessed by rail or car from the regions around Lake Thun and Lake Geneva and the Gruyere region Direct connections to the European high-speed rail network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey. The main means of transport in the destination of Gstaad are the "MOB" (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) train and numerous post bus lines.
