The route starts with a long, fairly steady ascent via an asphalt road to the Rüwlispass. The last section to the pass is tough; the last approx. 500m of ascent are very steep! Here you will be glad for the strong turbo mode! A short connecting section of about 200m from the Rüwlispass to Unter Zwitzeregg (very good alpine cheese in the refrigerator at the alp!) leads via the hiking trail. The route continues mostly along a gravel road at altitude to Hornberg in the Saanenland. The view into the Turbach valley is particularly beautiful here. After a rest at one of the two restaurants on Hornberg, the route goes down the asphalt mountain road to Saanenmöser. Then a little-used road leads through the Oesch side down to Zweisimmen. Back to the starting point St. Stephan via the flat bike path.
The route is consistently easy to ride and ideal for those who prefer to travel on wide paths – there are no single trails.
The route is not signposted.
