A warm welcome

The landscape is gentle, the valley floor is flat and the mountain terraces are bathed in sunshine. These are the basic ingredients for a happy vacation in the Simmental.

Tradition, customs and AlpKultur® are consciously cultivated here. Highlights of the mountain summer include the Lenk Älplerfest, the Alpabzug in St. Stephan and the farmers' market in Boltigen. In summer, the Simmental is known as the valley of water and as a hiking and biking paradise. There is a wide range of activities on offer for families.

Lenk is linked to Adelboden in the "Adelboden-Lenk... dänk!" winter sports arena. On the family mountain Betelberg, on the Metsch and Bühlberg, on the Jaunpass (Boltigen) and on the Rossberg (Oberwil), perfectly groomed pistes await you!

Arrival

Access by car is possible all year round on the well-maintained Simmental road, and the Simmental is easily accessible via the Swiss highways from the international airports of Zurich, Basel and Geneva in 2-3 hours, and with a direct flight to Bern-Belp Airport you are almost in the Bernese Oberland. The destination Lenk-Simmental charges a visitor's tax. If you are a guest in a hotel, the visitor's tax is included in the price of the hotel accommodation. If you have rented a vacation apartment, you pay the visitor's tax to the landlord.
