Directions to Lake Oeschinen

By car: In Kandersteg follow the signs to the Oeschinensee cable car. You'll be committed. The parking fee is CHF 5 per day.
By train: From Kandersteg station 20 minutes in the direction of the Oeschinensee gondola lift. Follow the signs.
Gondola: the ride takes 8 minutes, then 30 minutes on foot to the Oeschinensee.

airplane

Trains run hourly from Zurich, Geneva, Basel and Bern Airport to Kandersteg. Timetable under: BLS.ch. From Kandersteg to Oeschinensee there is a gondola lift, access by car is not possible.

Train

From Bern or Brig: hourly connections to Kandersteg with BLS. From Kandersteg station on foot (15′) or local bus (8′) to the Oeschinensee cable car valley station. To the timetable.

car

direction Bern, Thun, Spiez, Kandersteg. In the centre at the tourist office in the direction of "Oeschinensee" (brown sign). Parking at the valley station of the gondola costs CHF 5 per day.7
From Valais you can reach us by car from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.

touring cars

Large parking spaces are available for buses right next to the valley station. The unloading point for passengers is located directly at the entrance to the station.

On foot

From the gondola: Walk N°1 to the Oeschinensee, 30'.
from Kandersteg: N°4 directly to the lake, 1h30'.

Electric Mobile

In summer daily from 11.30 a.m. from the mountain station to Lake Oeschinen. More info.

Access to Lake Oeschinen

The access to the Oeschinesee is not public. There is a barrier in Kandersteg.
