The winter loop around Lenkerseeli is an easy, well-groomed trail that’s easily manageable even when there’s a lot of snow. After just a few minutes, you’ll reach the small lake—which is often frozen over—before the trail winds gently along the valley floor to Eywald and back to the village along the east side of the Simme. The perfect way to round out the hike is with a stop at the Hotel Kreuz’s Rooftop Bar. Enjoy delicious fondue, the view, and a relaxed atmosphere above the rooftops of Lenk. Alternatively, the rustic Restaurant Gade also offers the chance to enjoy a hearty fondue.

Starting at the Stand-Xpress midway station, the approximately 50-minute snowshoe hike leads through the peaceful Metsch Forest, across the Metschgraben, and continues along the edge of the forest up to Bühlberg. The bus stop for the return trip to Lenk is located at the Bühlberg Restaurant. If you still have energy, you can add the Bühlberg snowshoe trail to your hike.
