By car via Zweisimmen to Lenk. At the traffic circle in the center of the village, drive towards the valley station of the Betelberg gondola lift.

Take the train via Zweisimmen to Lenk. On foot or by local bus to the valley station of the Betelberg cable car. Take the Betelberg cable car from Lenk to the Leiterli mountain station. The mountain station is the start and end point of the circular trail.

Plenty of free parking spaces at the valley station of the gondola lift.

You can't miss the start of the Alpine flower trail at the mountain station. Simply follow the flower signs.

This is a diversity of species that unfortunately no longer occurs very often. Many of the plants on the Leiterli are protected. Watching instead of plucking - the plants like to be observed closely.

Digital foray with Flower Walks

Download the "Flower Walks" app onto your cell phone and set off on a botanical foray on the Betelberg. The app uses GPS to guide you directly to the various plants and reveals exciting information. As a special highlight, the walk also takes you along the Gryden high-altitude circular trail and back again. To the ramble

Alpine roses in abundance, gentian or perhaps even an edelweiss. The area around Leiterli is one of the greenest and most colorful Alps in Switzerland. Thanks to the intense sunlight, alpine flowers grow at this altitude like nowhere else. A diversity of species that no longer occurs very often. There are over 300 different species of flowers, grasses and lichens to discover. We display around 90 species for you with specially made signs with a picture and name of the plant. As a rule, most of the plants bloom here in July and August.

Orchid hotspot:
Long-spurred orchid, globe orchid, black man's-foot orchid, stately orchid, fox's-finger spotted orchid and green hollow tongue. All in one place.

A sea of alpine roses:
Not just individual bushes - entire slopes are a sea of colorful flowers in midsummer.

Spring awakening:
After the snow melts, the spring crocus, spring gentians and the mountain carnation root get off to a flying start. The silicate bell gentians follow with many others in early summer.

The circular hike can be easily combined with other tours, such as the impressive Gryden high-altitude circular trail or the Alpine circular trail Leiterli.
