Alp Under Albrist: Alp Culture and Family Experience at St. Stephan
On the Alp "Under Albrist" near St. Stephan, the traditional alpine life can be experienced up close. At around 1,700 m a.m.s.l. at the foot of the Albristhorn, small and large visitors receive an authentic insight into the Alp culture.
At the Gobeli family, guests can witness how alpine cheese is made, taste fresh cheese, and learn more about daily life on the alp. Depending on availability, coffee, fresh milk, tea, or syrup are served. Questions about alpine farming, the animals, and cheese production are gladly answered.
There is also much to discover for children. In addition to the cows, goats, chickens, pigs, and calves live on the alp, which can be visited up close.
The alp is also located in a beautiful hiking area and is ideal as a stopping point or excursion destination. A worthwhile detour leads to the Albrist Pond. Right by the alpine huts, there are also opportunities for grilling, picnicking, and playing by the stream.
A visit to the Alp "Under Albrist" combines nature, regional traditions, animals, and enjoyment into a special experience in the Simmental.
