This route usually starts at the Wildhornhütte and first follows the Wildhorn route to the Chilchligletscher. Then it continues over the Schnidejoch. This pass into Valais was already used by Schnidi around 2800 BC, which various finds such as arrowheads and bow cases from this time prove. As a reward for the ascent, the descent past Lac de Téné to Rawil can be fully enjoyed. Now it is about 300 meters of elevation gain to the Wildstrubelhütte SAC.

In 1902, the first Wildstrubelhütte was built on a small plateau southwest of the Weisshorn. Today there are a total of 3 houses. The almost endless views of the Bernese and Valais Alps and breathtaking sunsets certainly remain in memory for a long time.

After hopefully a restful night in the hut, the day starts with a descent back to Rawil. Over the Plan des Roses, you climb up to the summit of Schnidehore in the midst of alpine landscape. The view of the Wildhore and the surrounding mountains is the most beautiful from here. Beautiful slopes lead downhill towards the Wildhornhütte.
