Oberwil

The village lies off the road, slightly elevated above the valley floor. Magnificently painted Simmental houses and the church dedicated to St. Mauritius are well worth seeing.

The unspoiled landscape invites you to hike and linger. Visit the Schnurreloch cave. People have been drawn to the area around Oberwil since prehistoric times. Various caves in the municipality bear witness to this. Oberwil is the starting point for high-altitude hikes via Morgeten into the Gantrisch region.

The nearby family-friendly Rossberg ski area is ideal for leisurely skiers and cross-country skiers.
