Weissenburg-Därstetten

Long history, perfect location

Wasserkraft und seine Geschichte

At one time, the cream of Europe’s aristocracy flocked here. Castle ruins and the once-thriving Weissenburg springs are evidence of the draw that this spa town with thermal baths once had.

Today Weissenburg is a cultural gold mine with farmhouses that belong among the finest in all of Switzerland.

Därstetten is again a tourist destination thanks to its ideal position in the Simmental. From here it’s a quick trip up into the mountains, out to the Swiss capital city, over to the lake region, or across to the Bernese Oberland’s other top tourist destinations.
