First, we take the Stand-Xpress up around 1000 meters in altitude to 2100 m above sea level. The Metschstand is the starting point for various hikes. This one takes us along the alpine route called the Aeugi Trail to the Ammertenspitz. The view from 2613 m above sea level is of course fantastic. Up here, the surroundings are rough and rocky. The descent is first through the wild and romantic Ammertetäli valley. First in stony terrain, then it becomes greener and you may come across sheep. But don't be surprised if you find yourself alone - this mountain trail is not mainstream - but it is beautiful. If you still have energy left at the Rezliberg, you can make a detour to the Sibe Brünne, the source of the Simme. Otherwise, continue directly down into the valley to the Simmen Falls. The trail comes close to the Simme again and again, and once at the bottom you can see the Simmen Falls in all their glory.
