The snowshoe round trip to the Höh starts north of the Kandersteg train station. From the station you cross the tracks and the loading station Kandersteg-Goppenstein. Then follow the side road northwards to the trail start sign.
From here the trail immediately climbs steeply up to the Risete-Egge. From the highest point of the round hike you have a beautiful panoramic view of the village of Kandersteg and the surrounding snow mountains such as the Blümlisalp group as well as the small and large Doldenhorn. The way back is along the Risete area through sparse, fabulously snow-covered pine forest and then via the side road back to the train station.
This avalanche-safe trail is particularly beautiful after a snowfall. The ascent can have apere spots at times. If in doubt, please inquire at the Toursit Center Kandersteg about the condition of the trail!
