At Kandersteg-Sunnbüel base cable car station, turn left and climb through woodlands and past fast-moving mountain streams through the impressive Klus to the Kander waterfalls. Return via Gasterntalstrasse.
A short and interesting walking tour even in cloudy weather.

    By car via Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.

  • Arrival at Kandersteg railway station

    The Lötschberg to the south, the Kandertal to the north: this railway station between Brig (38 min.) and Bern (61 min.) has an hourly service - an ideal base for many excursions.

    Getting to Sunnbüel

    The AFA bus runs every hour from Kandersteg railway station to the valley station of the cable car, the start of the hike, within 10 minutes.
