The newly created hiking trail through the Grünenwald forest takes you to Lake Oeschinen. The trail is only recommended for experienced snowshoe hikers.

  • Approach

    By car via Spiez - Frutigen or by car train from Goppenstein to Kandersteg.

  • South of the Lötschberg, north of the Kander Valley. For this point between Brig (38 min.) and Bern (61 min.), an hourly train service is in operation – this is an ideal meeting point for many tours.

  • The destination has been decided, and so has the parking space - on this map, drivers can quickly and easily find the right parking option in the Oberland municipality. Well then: engine off, cross-country skiing boots on!

  • Follow the signs from the cable car valley station car park.

  • Please note that you are travelling at your own risk. The path can be frozen and icy in places. The path is strenuous.
